How To Book An Appointment
Booking Guidance Appointments
Please Note:
Guidance appointments for all students are in-person only. Guardians are welcome to join in person or via Google Meet. If a Google Meet link is requested by the Guardian, please contact the Counsellor prior to the appointment to let us know where to send the link.
How to book a Guidance appointment:
Log in to your Teach Assist account and scroll down to find the 'Appointment Bookings' section.
IMPORTANT - there are many FAKE TeachAssist sites. Please use this one. Using an App can lead to incorrect grade postings, does not allow for Guidance bookings, and provides your personal information to an App that is not affiliated with YRDSB.
Choose your Guidance Counsellor based on your last name, personal preference, OR availability.
Choose the day you would like to meet the Guidance Counsellor by clicking on the calendar.
Choose a time to see the Guidance Counsellor, attempting to avoid instructional time (be sure to discuss with your teacher if during class). Indicate the reason for the appointment and whether or not a parent/guardian will be attending.
When you click the chosen time, a confirmation of the appointment will appear as a yellow bar in the TeachAssist account. You can cancel the appointment by unclicking the time. Be sure to set a reminder in your phone for the time of the appointment so you don't forget.
PARENTS/GUARDIANS can book on their own appointment using the Parent Portal - simply use the email that is on file with the school.
