This presentation examines a digital platform used by the YRDSB called MyPathwayPlanner, which utilizes myBlueprint to assist students with their academic planning and goals.  This platform has many aspects to support students from planning for graduation, post secondary pathways, guides and more, inviting parents into their student’s portal. Using this tool together will create pathway conversations and open doors to many available opportunities throughout and following high school graduation.  Guidance will also share info about Volunteer Hours, Resources, Guidance Appoinments, and Tips for Success.

This presentation explores the rich opportunities in the Skilled Trades and Apprenticeship programs in Ontario, and high school pathway programs such the Ontario Youth Apprenticeship program (OYAP) and Accelerated OYAP.  This webinar identifies the Top 5 reasons students should consider a career in the Skilled Trades, and will highlight the in-demand trades, using current labour market information.  The Skilled Trades are receiving unprecedented acknowledgment for high salaries and job security.
