WHAT IS A PLAN?
Students should create a scheduled plan of action that outlines what they will do and when. It should also state who will be responsible for each task.
WHY PLAN?
Structure and organisation. Without a plan to follow, the task could lose direction run over time. Creating and adhering to a plan provides structure to follow and allows all stakeholders with a team to know what must be completed and when.
A project can have multiple milestones, tasks, schedules and teams working closely. Hence, capturing the project outline correctly can be intimidating in the beginning. It helps to first visually represent the broad components of the project alongside the timelines, milestones, and objectives. The timeline needs special focus as it is the foundation upon which all the other project components will be built.
If you fail to plan, then you must plan to fail.
HOW TO PLAN?
Students are advised to use the planning template in your portfolio and use this to guide panning structure and timing of activities and deadlines.
Essentially, students need to outline individual tasks, assign what needs to be done for this task and dedicate a time/deadline of completion. You may also wish to assign individuals to specific tasks based on their roles and/or skill areas to spread the workload.

PLANNING BOARDS
Each team has a notice board that can be used to visually organise planning and to add and arrange research so that visual connections can be more easily made.
