The school year is divided into four Activities Seasons, allowing students to explore a wide variety of interests throughout the year and to participate in sports as well as pursue other interests. The programme provides a variety of options for students under the following broad categories:
Arts and Performance
Create and Innovate
Dragon Sports
Home Languages
Learn and Lead
Mind Matters
Wellness for Life
It is designed to provide students with opportunities to discover new interests, develop their strengths and pursue their passions. Participants make like-minded friends from across age groups and interact with students from other school sections. Students can perform in a production, play in a band, lead in an MUN conference, dance in CultuRama or compete in international sports events.
The UWCSEA East Sports website provides details of up to date information on all sports. Sports Celebration events are held each year.

The opportunities offered to our students are wide-ranging, and because of the demands made on their time, students also gain skills in time management and self-organisation and learn the value of commitment. In addition, they build leadership and social skills as well as an understanding of group dynamics. Most importantly, they experience both success and failure and learn to persevere.
Students sign up to the Activities programme occurs at the start of Grade 9 and the process will be introduced in the first week of High School.
Students sign up via our online system, which allocates students based on their preferences. Parents are able to view their child's activity commitments, together with their academic timetable, via our portal and app.
Students will sign up in Season 1 Sign-ups for activities running in Seasons 1 & 2 and in Season 3 Sign-ups for activities running in Seasons 3 & 4.
Tryouts for Dragon Sports will be held before each season starts. Students can sign up for tryouts via our online system (Season 1) or OLP (Season 2, 3 & 4).
