FHS Manufacturing SHSM

Nine of your 30 credits for graduation need to support your SHSM sector:

  • 4 Manufacturing Major Credits from the list below;

  • 1 Credit in Science or Other as listed below (not required for Workplace Pathway);

  • 1 Credit in English, including a learning activity related to Manufacturing (2 credits for Workplace Pathway);

  • 1 Credit in Math, including a learning activity related to Manufacturing;

  • 2 Credits in Cooperative Education in a setting related to Manufacturing;

The following lists only the applicable courses that may be available to students at Fort Frances High School. Circumstances may arise where another course not on the list may count toward a student's Specialist High Skills Major, with approval.

Credits in Cooperative Education

Can be completed in grade 11 and/or 12 as two single-credit placements or one double-credit placement.

Students who plan to enrol in SHSM may take summer coop in the summer before their grade 11 year, usually with GLC2O as the related course.
