Want to graduate in three semesters?
Some of you are interested in taking on a more intensive fall and spring schedule. This is a sample format you can follow. Please note that some Deaf Studies course offerings vary from year to year.
Below is a sample and there are some other possible variations.

*Completing 13 credits during the Fall and Spring semesters will render you eligible to march and graduate in May with no remaining Summer II courses. Completing 10 credits during the Fall and Spring semesters may qualify you to march in May commencement, with two courses to take during Summer II***.
**Space in Deaf Studies courses are not guaranteed. See below "Deaf Studies Courses" section for more details.
***Note that if you have 1-2 courses remaining during Summer II, and choose to march earlier in May, you will not be eligible to receive the University gold honors stole and medallion or MASLED program award because the university and program needs to have your completed program/degree GPA in order to determine if you qualify for those awards. ASL 709: Candidates with extensive media, film and editing experience may apply for Sign Language Media Production waiver.
ASL 752 & ASL 790: The practicum and internship site and cooperating teacher must be approved by the department in advance. Candidates with extensive ASL teaching experience and/or full-time employment in the ASL teaching field may apply for a practicum and/or internship waiver.

Space is not guaranteed in DST courses during the fall and spring semesters. Please contact the coordinator of the Deaf Studies Master program to inquire about space in the courses and for permission to be added into DST courses.
