Shara and Christopher's Story

Sixteen years ago, being involved in the "Second DPN" -- led Christopher to an opportunity to travel on behalf of Gallaudet and by chance, Christopher and Shara met. This was the propeller that led Shara in choosing Gallaudet for a big part of her educational journey.

Once Shara began her journey at Gallaudet, they became joined at the hip at the very start of the school semester and created memorable experiences during their time at Gallaudet; homecoming, student organizations, Alpha Sigma Pi Fraternity events, and travels around Washington, D.C. and beyond. 

Chris and Shara have remained strong over 16 years of shared experiences, living in different states such as California, Texas, Maryland, and Washngton, D.C. together, fostering over 20 cats and dogs together, and now embarking on their latest journey as parents of two boys under two! They currently reside in Maryland, and have come full circle with Shara working at Gallaudet since 2019.
