Conferral of the PhD degree requires completion of all prescribed steps through the Department of Arts Administration, the UK Graduate School, and the Commencement Office. The following checklist outlines the required activities to assist you in maintaining progress toward degree completion.

Diplomas
Students will not receive their diplomas at Commencement. Diplomas are mailed 4-6 weeks following the conclusion of each semester and submission of final grades.
The size of the diploma for a doctoral degree is 12” x 15”.
