For questions or concerns regarding homework, class assignments, projects, exams, class discussion, syllabus/print materials, myCourses, due dates, or communication, follow these steps in the order shown below.
Talk to the instructor with whom you have a question or concern.
If you are satisfied with the outcome, your concern is resolved.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may continue to Step 2.
Talk with your Academic Advisor.
If you are satisfied with the outcome, your concern is resolved.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome, your concern may proceed to Step 3.
The Academic Advisor will discuss with the BSI Program Director and/or the ASLIE chairperson.
If you are satisfied with the outcome, your concern is resolved.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome, the BSI Program Director or Chairperson will follow up with the appropriate people to seek resolution.
You will be notified of the outcome.
For questions or concerns regarding course sequence, schedule, or delivery mode, talk to the BSI Program Director.
Document the concern or the incident with details.
Email the Chairperson of the Department, Jason Listman, jdlnss@rit.edu . In the email, be sure to include your full name, year in the program, instructor name, and the course in which you are enrolled.
If you feel that someone is in immediate danger, including yourself, contact RIT Public Safety immediately or call 911.

To report a student’s behavior that is concerning, worrisome, or threatening from a health and wellness context, file a Tiger Concern Report.
The report can be filed anonymously, but it is helpful to include your contact information should RIT have additional questions.
For questions or concerns regarding interpersonal conflict or bullying, intimidating, or disrespectful behavior, follow these steps in the order shown below.
Document the incident.
Talk to the student.
If you are satisfied with the outcome, your concern is resolved.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may continue to Step 3.
Talk to your instructor or Academic Advisor.
If you are satisfied with the outcome, your concern is resolved.
If you are not satisfied with the outcome, the Academic Advisor will evaluate and determine appropriate next steps.
