Phonemic Awareness Lesson
In this lesson, students will practice changing around sounds in words. It is important for students to know spoken words are made up of individual sounds and that we can put the sounds together and take them apart and even change an manipulate them to be able to read and spell more words.

Count Collection Grouping
Activity Goal: Give students opportunity to compare two groups' numbers.
Counting Collections is a weekly activity, where students get to explore many ways of counting up objects.
Materials: Paper, Pencil, and either Containers or Extra Paper, and Counting Collection Journal (If you have it!!)
Directions:
Student will choose a collection (at least more than 20).
If you cannot find a collection of more than 20, then combine two or more different groups together.
Let students creatively sort the collection any way.
Students record their collection onto their recording sheet.
Students need to complete at least one collection.
