Kindergarten:

Campbell Hill Elementary

Week of June 8th, 2020

Hello Incredible Kindergarten Families,

This upcoming Thursday, June 11th, the First Grade Teachers will be present as our guest for both the 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Zoom Meetings. This will give students a chance to meet and ask them any questions. Reach out to your teacher if you need the link to the meeting. Hope to see everyone!

As we get closer to the end of the school year, we will be celebrating all of the growth and accomplishments every Kindergartner has made this past school year. We will be having classroom celebrations in both our 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Zoom Meetings on Thursday, June 18. You are welcome to attend both times so the students can celebrate together.

The entire school will also have a pick up date for all students to take their belongings from school. There will be more information on this later.

We are so happy to see so many students bringing their work to the Zoom Meetings. It's a great way for students to connect with one another, as well as take pride in their work.

Remember it's not too late to join us for a zoom class meeting. If you have not filled out the permission form, please do it as soon as possible, so your child can attend the meetings.

Message From Mrs Holmes

Hello Kinder Families,

As we approach the end of the summer, we want to encourage you to find ways to keep your child’s mind engaged. This week , all CHE Kinder families were sent a resource to assist with keeping our Kinders engaged with math from the non-profit organization based in Seattle, Washington, Zeno.

Zeno strives to provide inspiring programs that integrate math in everyday experiences for kids from an early age. They provide fun, playful activities that build foundational early math concepts, shape mindsets, and put learning resources in the homes of children. Zeno’s work is to reduce and eventually erase racial opportunity gaps in early math by increasing access to early math resources and bringing families of color into the early math conversation.

Zeno is mailing out the game the game Bear Adventure (find the link below). The game will come with instructions in 10 different languages, printed materials needed to play the game, and manipulatives needed to play that game.
