Phonemic Awareness Lesson
In this lesson, students will practice changing around sounds in words. It is important for students to know spoken words are made up of individual sounds and that we can put the sounds together and take them apart and even change an manipulate them to be able to read and spell more words.

Students will choose their own "just right" numbers to make the problem challenging for them.
Students will use a strategy to solve the problem. This could include fingers, drawing a picture, or using a tool.
Students will explain their thinking to a family member.
