Credit Recovery Program at St. Laurent School

At St. Laurent School, we are committed to supporting every student's academic success, even when challenges arise. Our Credit Recovery Program is designed to give students who have demonstrated effort but have struggled in specific areas of a course the opportunity to recover their credit without repeating the entire class.

Eligibility for Credit Recovery Students who receive a final mark between 40% and 49% are eligible for the Credit Recovery Program. This allows students to focus on reassessing and improving in the areas of the course where they performed poorly, without needing to retake the entire course. Our goal is to provide targeted support that helps students address their learning gaps while allowing them to progress in their academic journey.

Credit Recovery Process Once a student has been identified as eligible for credit recovery, the following steps will be taken:

What Happens if a Student Scores Below 40%? Students who receive a final mark below 40% will need to retake the course in full to earn the credit. This ensures that they can revisit all the necessary material and skills before moving forward. Retaking the course provides an opportunity for the student to gain a deeper understanding of the subject and to build the foundation they need for future success.

Why Credit Recovery? Our Credit Recovery Program helps students stay on track for graduation by allowing them to focus on the areas where they need improvement rather than repeating an entire course. It provides a fair and supportive way for students to recover credits, reinforcing key concepts while recognizing the effort they've already put in.

At St. Laurent School, we believe in providing second chances and ensuring that every student has the opportunity to achieve their academic goals. By offering a targeted approach to credit recovery, we can help students overcome obstacles and continue their educational journey with confidence.
