In pursuit of Sustainable Development Goal 7: Affordable and Clean Energy, Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) promotes innovative, energy-efficient solutions for everyday living.
The Cleanergy Stove initiative introduces a sustainable, low-fuel emergency stove designed to minimize fuel consumption and environmental impact while providing a reliable source of heat for communities in need.
Through this project, MSU-IIT highlights the importance of clean energy technologies in fostering resilience, sustainability, and energy efficiency across households and communities.

In an effort to foster sustainable practices, MSU-IIT has enacted Sustainability Policies, endorsed by the Board of Regents. These policies aim to facilitate the sustainable consumption and protection of university resources. Specifically, Article VII, Section 3, mandates the sustainable consumption and conservation of energy.
