In line with Sustainable Development Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth, Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) continues to empower communities through innovation, entrepreneurship, and skill development.
Initiatives such as “From Research to Impact: Prof. Suryha Raghu From Research to Community Workshop,” “Innovate to Elevate: Innovation Business Recovery Turnover for MSMEs,” “Negostorya 2024: Kasangga sa Pag-unlad ng Negosyo,” and the “Professionalizing the Leadership & Entrepreneurial Competencies of Key Women Leaders/Officers of Iligan City” demonstrate MSU-IIT’s commitment to fostering resilient enterprises, inclusive economic opportunities, and sustainable community development.

On July 18, MSU-IIT’s iDEYA program hosted the Youthpreneur Kickstart, a one-day boot camp focused on transforming challenges into opportunities for starting a business; the event, held at Almont Inland Resort, aims to inspire youth and students to pursue entrepreneurship as part of MSME Week.
