What lessons have you learned in developing or writing a lesson plan?
What value will it give to the teacher if the three components are aligned?
We have learned that considering your methods in teaching is one great way to achieve your learning outcomes. It is not enough to develop a lesson plan and formulate an instruction. Writing a lesson plan needs an alignment with the level of learning of your students, the learning competencies, your strategies and the appropriateness of the assessment relevant to the objectives. Just like what we have, the constructive alignment of the component adds value to the effectiveness of a teaching and learning process. By this, we can formulate a lesson plan easily and effectively. Though it is just a template, it can assure that when aligned, it can contribute to the attainment of the learning outcomes as well as to provide quality education. Writing a lesson plan is not easy because it provides a detailed and planned instruction that will be implemented in the class. But with the use of this template, you can be able to distinguish the needs of these components with regards to their attainment. We should be patient, observant and flexible in writing a lesson plan for teachers who are the knower, writer, implementer and evaluation of the curriculum.
