Desciption
The office of the principal has two separate rooms. It is divided by the recieving area and the main principal office. The receiving area serves as the welcoming area for visitors that are meant for other paper works that can be handles by the principal's secretary. The 2nd one is the main principal office where the table of the principal and the principal herself can be found. There she does her paperworks that are needed for evaluation and sign.
How it contribute to children's learning?
It can contribute to the student’s learning and development because if a child has some concern regarding his/her studies that cannot be discussed with her teacher, the learner can go to the principal's office to get enlightenment.
Description
The library is accessible to all students, staff and all other school personnel. It is well ventilated and is well-lighted. It also have chairs and tables that can accomodate enough students for their school learnings.
How it contribute to children's learning?
It can contribute to the student’s learning and development, for there are times when learners need to search for something but cannot access the internet, they can just go to the library. Also, whenever the learners have free time, he/she can go to the library to spend some time reading books.
Description
The room is visible of comfortability for everyone who would visit the counseling room. The room is also student friendly and does not send a negative vibe. There are also words and other signs or pictures that are hang into the wall.
How it contribute to children's learning?
Counseling rooms help every learner to grow and learn from things they are struggling with. Councilors helps the learners to understand themselves even more.
Description: The cafeteria is not very big, but sells a lot of food, not just for the learners but also for the teachers and parents. At first glance, you will not notice that this is actually a cafeteria unless you see the lettering in the wall that says canteen or when you get inside.
How it contribute to children's learning?
Food contributes a lot when it comes to learning, for learners need food for them to focus on their studies and this makes the brain function even more. If they're feeling hungry they can just go to the cafeteria to fill their stomach with various healthy foods and snacks found inside
Description: The clinic is located close to the gate. It is a separate room that is not so big. It is air conditioned and first aid medical supplies are available inside. It is well lighted that is ideal for what a clinic should be to tend to any injuries in clear vision.
How it contribute to children's learning?
We cannot tell when an accident may occur. If an unfortunate event happens and the learner got minor injuries that may affect their performance in school, he/she can go to the clinic to mend it. Also this serves to be a room where learners may take time to heal and find minor medical help.
Description
The room is ensured to be student safe. It is full of caution words that were needed in the room. Also, it might not be complete with all the equipment that are needed in a science laboratory but it is equipped with the basics needed for a student's primary learning.
How it contribute to children's learning?
There are some activities that needs focus and various tools and equipment that are not found in the classroom but found in the science laboratory. In addition, the laboratory serves as a place where precautions are taken and extra care is taken with the things and experiments that a learner must learn in some fields.
Description: The gymnasium has enough space to accommodate activities or programs. The stage is not so high, which is good for avoiding drastic accidents. Chairs are also present inside that can be used if there's a need to. It is also a good space where learners can do their outdoor activities like Physical Education.
How it contribute to children's learning?
During P.E. time or playtime, they can go to the gymnasium, where they can freely roam around with enough space to avoid injuries.
Description: The garden is a wide space located at the back of the gymnasium. It has fences, and behind the fences are vegetables planted directly in the soil. It has variety of vegetables available.
How it contribute to children's learning?
This part of the school does give a huge impact to a learner's inner peace and calmness. With all the greenery found in the surroundings and the fresh air from the plants and trees does make every learner think creatively in an exact or right manner.
DESCRIPTION
The room is well ventilated; it is large enough to accommodate a large number of students while also holding a sufficient number of students. Also the area is clean and has equipments that are useful to students learning.
How it contribute to children's learning?
The home economics discipline has led individuals to the fields of education, nutrition, social service, and hospitality management. They may enhance their analytical learning skills by helping in problem-solving in the family. The students, because of this, will grow with a sense of responsibility.
Description: The office has enough space to accommodate PTA officers. It has chalkboard in front and several chairs inside.
How it contribute to children's learning?
With the office being present at school, PTA officers will be able to discuss matters that can develop the school. They will also be able to discuss projects for the improvement of the school's facilities. They will help the learners learning because the projects that PTA officers come up is for the development of the school which can greatly affect them in a positive way.
Description: The comfort room has enough space to accommodate a child and a teacher one at a time. It has a bucket and a dipper to be used after using the comfort room. It also has soap to clean hands, and the water is unlimited.
How it contribute to children's learning?
It can contribute to the student’s learning and development because whenever the child needs to use the comfort room to pee or poop, they can. It helps them feel comfortable in class. It is inevitable that learners in elementary school tend to use the comfort room . With this being present, the teacher as well as the learners can be at ease that they can easily go to the comfort room to do their business any time they need to.
AN OBSERVATION FOR CLASSROOM VISIT

Look at the walls of the classroom. What is posted on the walls? What heroes, religious figures, lessons, visual aids, and announcements, do you see posted?
The wall has display board for all the subjects, classroom policies, child protection policies, attendance charts, word and visual classroom rules, national Anthem, reading corner tarp, Jose Rizal, and our current president; Marcos,
Examine how the pieces of furniture are arranged. Where is the teacher’s table located? How are the tables and chairs and desks arranged?
The teacher's table was near the door, allowing the teacher to easily see who entered and exited the room. The learner's desks were designed in a circular shape. Each desk can accommodate three students. It is user-friendly because learners can work comfortably whether they are left-handed or right-handed. In regular class, each table can accomodate 2 learners.
What learning materials/equipment are present?
There are different story books, fictional and non-fictional materials on the reading corner. Big book consisting of different educational and values stories.
Observe the students. How many are occupying one room?
In SpEd class, there are 15 learners, while in Grade 2 regular class has 31 learners.
Is the room well-lit and well-ventilated?
In SpEd class, there are four working fans. Three of those fans are facing the learners from different direction while the other one is facing the teacher's table. It is also well-lighted as there are three light bulbs inside and the open window also adds to the lighting inside. In regular class, there are 3 wall fans that are facing the learners' chairs and 1 stand fan facing towards the teacher's table. The room is well-lighted because of the light bulb as well the natural light coming from the outside.
CLASSROOM FACILITIES MATRIX
> WALL DISPLAYS
There are different wall displays for each subject the class has. It showcases lessons for specific units. We can also see Classroom policies,anti-bullying descriptions, National Heroes, our former President Duterte as well as class schedules and attendance. It is also well-presented, and appealing and understandable and easy to follow for the learners.
>TEACHERS TABLE
The teacher's table is located near the entrance, where the teacher could easily see who entered and exited the room. It has clear glass underneath, where underneath it has the class schedule and important reminders. It is also well organized with complete materials found that are easy to grab for the teacher's convenience.
>LEARNERS DESK
The learner's desks for the special education for deaf it was built circular. Each desk can accommodate 3 learners. It is user friendly as learners who are left-handed or right-handed can work comfortably. While for grade 2 regular class it is designed by row that can accommodate 2 students each table with this students learns how to share with their seatmate with the space they both have.
>BLACKBOARD
For the special education for deaf there are two blackboards. The blackboards are wide. In the center of two blackboards is a whiteboard. It is plastered into the wall, which makes it easier to see what's written on it. While for the Grade 2 regular class there are only 2 blackboards that are wide and have clear lines which help the writing techniques especially since grade 2 students are starting to practice cursive writing.
>LEARNING MATERIALS/VISUAL AID
There are different learning materials that can be seen inside the class. There are stories and different lessons that can easily be seen as they are displayed on the wall. There are also books in every subject that are available for the learners to see.
ANALYZE
How do the school campus and the classroom in particular impact the learning of the students going to school? What are your conclusions?
The school campus has a friendly atmosphere where learners can feel at home. It caters to disabled learners, which makes it more ideal for every student to study as it doesn't discriminate. Each room also has a light ambiance that can make students feel at ease. It is important for the classroom to have that kind of atmosphere to make the learners feel at ease and not pressured. By that, we mean they can work comfortably, which can greatly affect their studies.
How does this relate to your knowledge of child and adolescent development? How does this relate to your knowledge of facilitating learning?
Facilitating a good atmosphere in the classroom means that the person who does so is an effective teacher. Learners who feel at home inside the class tend to work efficiently, which can lead to good performance inside the class.

Would you like to teach in the school environment you just observed? Why? Why not?
Yes, as we have mentioned before, the school is friendly. It applies not only to normal kids who are not mentally challenged or do not have any physical disabilities but also to those who are. We love the idea that the school that we have observed is inclusive for all learners who want to learn.
