Students must complete three Science credits to graduate with a South Carolina Diploma. One of those courses must be Biology 1.
Students should strive to take one Science course each year of high school, 9th through 12th grade, even if they have met their graduation requirement.
Science courses are recommended by the teacher and based upon student success and school and district criteria. Parents/Guardians who disagree with the recommended course will be asked to meet with the appropriate counselor as part of the IGP and scheduling process.
