Uniforms
All runners must wear uniforms in meets -- GSHA guidelines do not allow runners to wear any non-uniform shirts or shorts, and in Cross Country all team members must wear matching uniforms. Long compression shirts/pants may be worn under the uniform if you wish. More detail will be given on this during practices before our first meet.Â

The uniform store has closed -- uniforms need to be ordered directly from Coach Hunting if you are a brand new runner!
The $400 mandatory uniform fee (shipping and tax included) includes the following:
full uniform (shorts & jersey)
warmup (top and bottom)
team shirt
team fees -- these pay for meets, banquets, meet supplies, our assistant coaches, tents, benches, and much more.
This fee is $300 for returning runners -- we have a BRAND NEW uniform so EVERYONE needs to order.
Spiritwear for you and your family is also available through our team store!
Shoes
Either running shoes or spikes can be worn in meets. Both can be purchased at any running store. We partner with Big Peach Running in Suwanee Town Center -- mention that you run cross country with Collins Hill and you will be given a discount on your running purchase. We will also have a spike week in early August at Big Peach. If your shoes have been worn in a previous season, you absolutely need to replace them. They are DEAD! Don't wait until the treads wear out (they won't) or your knees and hips and back are hurting to get new shoes.
Watches/Devices
The rules keep changing, so it is better to be safe...most meets will not allow us to use Fitbits, Garmin, and Apple watches at meets as they can be used for coaches to connect with runners. So while they are allowed (and even recommended) for practices, I will not let you wear them for meets as we don't want any accidental DQs. That said, YOU NEED A WATCH for practices. Please get a very inexpensive digital watch with a stopwatch feature if you don't have a smart watch. Here is a link (1) (2) if you need a suggestion, but any watch that allows you to keep track of time is great.
Practices
During practices you will wear shorts and a comfortable, COOL running shirt -- we will be running in the sun so please wear clothes that breathe! Running shoes are great for weekday practices -- no need to wear spikes at practice.
