September 20th, 2023
Here are our upcoming events!
Wednesday, Sept. 27th is Curriculum Night at Savannah! Each grade level will conduct two identical sessions: one from 6:00-6:30 and one from 6:30-7:00. This will help parents who have students in multiple grade levels attend. Come see what your students will be learning this year!
Thursday, Sept. 28th is Grandparents Day at Savannah! Use the form below to reserve your spot to eat lunch with your grandchild.
Friday, Sept. 29th EARLY RELEASE. Elementary Schools dismiss at 12:00 PM
Friday, Sept. 29th "Dress Like a Rock Star" Day
October 9th: School Holiday! No School!
October 16th-27th: Read-a-Thon
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTE: We are having a safety issue with parents dropping children at our front, side and back doors after the 7:40 bell and leaving. Once the bell rings, our staff must be inside the building instructing our students. We cannot man the doors any longer. Do not drop your students outside and leave AND do not knock on the side PreK doors for entry after the bell. Students must be walked into the front office and signed in at the front desk. Any other procedure is a safety hazard for our students and campus.

A special thanks to the Russell family for donating the AWESOME green men for our crosswalk on Magnolia and Cotton Exchange. They look great alerting drivers to our students coming and going!
If you are willing to volunteer for crosswalk duty please fill out the interest form HERE. We are looking for helpers that can commit to working from 7:10-7:40 at intersections surrounding our school. We will supply the colored vests and stop signs. Woohoo!

Make sure you fill out a background check if you plan to eat lunch with your student or volunteer in any capacity. The background check application link is provided below.
Lost and Found: Our wonderful Boy Scouts will be managing our lost and found this year. In order to keep the items manageable, we will be taking unclaimed items to our donation bins at the end of each month. Make sure you check the rack outside the gym each week for missing gear.
We are happy to celebrate your child's birthday at school. We allow parents to send birthday trinkets for their child's class if they want, however, WE DO NOT ALLOW BIRTHDAY TREATS or FOODS. Cupcakes/cake/candy etc. compete with healthy meals and snacks. We will not serve them.
Families: Savannah requires background checks for anyone volunteering on campus OR coming to campus for lunch with their student/s. Make sure your background check is up to date. We will begin allowing families to eat lunch with their students on August 28th. This gives our teachers and students time to practice cafeteria procedures properly before we welcome guests.
Let's rock our school spirit each week! Our goal is 100% participation!
