Family intent for the 24-25 school year
Dear Savannah families,
As we prepare for another exciting academic year at Savannah Elementary, we want to remind all currently enrolled families to fill out the Family Intent Form by May 17th. Your prompt completion of this form helps us make class placements for the upcoming school year.Β
Early enrollment for new Denton ISD students began on April 10th. Anyone new to Denton ISD must start the registration process now. This includes incoming kindergarteners. All returning students will receive a Snap Code in early July, which will prompt registration. We will also have staff available on July 25th for in-person assistance if needed. Don't forget to uploaded your documents on time. The process is incomplete without the documents.
Thank you for your continued support in your child's education at Savannah Elementary. We look forward to another fantastic year together!
Take care,
Andi Hawkins

important Reminders
Make sure you fill out a background check if you plan to eat lunch with your student or volunteer in any capacity. The background check application link is provided below.Β
Lost and Found: Our wonderful Boy Scouts will be managing our lost and found this year. In order to keep the items manageable, we will be taking unclaimed items to our donation bins at the end of each month. Make sure you check the rack outside the gym each week for missing gear.Β
BIrthdays!Β
We are happy to celebrate your child's birthday at school. We allow parents to send birthday trinkets for their child's class if they want, however, WE DO NOT ALLOW BIRTHDAY TREATS or FOODS. Cupcakes/cake/candy, etc. compete with healthy meals and snacks.Β We will not serve them.
Background ChEcks
Families: Savannah requires background checks for anyone volunteering on campus OR coming to campus for lunch with their student/s. Make sure your background check is up to date.Β
