Community Service is a chance to be a part of and give back to the Cashmere community that has supported YOU.
You are required to complete 24 Community Service hours during high school and to document those hours before graduation. (You can volunteer any time you want, but we can only count hours completed after the start of your 9th grade year.)
You will be informed of Community Service opportunities throughout the year. It is recommended that you complete 6 hours per year for a total of 24 hours.
There are some guidelines around what you can and cannot do for Community Service hours:
Must be completed with a non-profit organization or an organized event, under the direct supervision of an adult.
Must be completed outside of normal school hours (you may not be excused from school to complete a community service)
Must be volunteer work only
A maximum of 8 hours of community service hours may be counted, per day
Cannot be used for class projects or any activity that will affect your grade
Cannot be completed for relatives or friends
Cannot be used for court required community service
