Wenatchee Valley Technical Skills Center (WVTSC) Summer Institute! This Summer iInstitute is open to exiting 8th -11th graders. You can earn .5 elective credit (that is the same as a semester-long class!!) in the summer BEFORE you even start 9th grade! It is free, but you must provide your own transportation. You can pay for lunch or bring your own. Classes typically run 8am-3pm for 14 days in June/July (no holidays or weekends). When you register , you will indicate which WVTSC program you prefer, with 2 back-up options. Enrollment is first come, first served so sign up early! Be listening for CMS announcments to announce enrollment. Registration for WVTSC Summer Institute will open March 1, 2026.
The College Bound Scholarship is an early commitment of state financial aid to eligible students who enroll in middle school and meet the pledge requirements. The College Bound Scholarship covers average tuition at public college rates, some fees, and a small book allowance at over 65 colleges, universities, and technical schools in Washington.
Am I eligible? Students who meet one of the following requirements are automatically enrolled in the College Bound Scholarship program: • You are in public school and eligible for free and reduced price lunch (FRPL) in 7th, 8th, or newly eligible for free/reduced in 9th grade. • You are in state foster care, or a dependent of the state between 7th grade and high school graduation.
