When struggling with a topic or concept - Math formula? How to format a paper? If you don't understand what is discussed in class, this is a great time to check in with your teacher. These will probably be on your test, so understanding them ASAP is important!
After missing class - If you missed class or are planning to miss class, reach out to your teacher beforehand to let them know and see what you can do to ensure you stay on track.
When you feel overwhelmed - Between class, clubs, sports, family responsibilities, or jobs, you may need some extra support every now and then - and that's totally okay! Start a conversation with an teacher or counselor about what you're feeling. They can help you make a plan for success.
Go directly to your teacher - If you are reaching out from home, send an email to your teachers. When you return from an absence, teachers are often available before class, during lunch and during the 10 minute passing periods. Sometimes you can arrange to work with them after school. They can provide suggestions and advice, help you work on a study plan, offer extra support, and more.
Go to tutoring at the Afters Program in the library, Monday- Friday 3-4pm. When Afters is open, teachers staffing it can help you work on homework assignments and projects.
Speak with your Pathways teacher or counselor - Start a conversation with your Pathways teacher or counselor about your current workload, extracurricular activities, and more to help them understand your situation a bit more. They may help you make adjustments to your workload.
