What is passing time like at the high school?........
Unlike the middle school, passing times are not determined by grade level - all students are in the hall at the same time. Passing times are 10 minutes long in between 90 minute blocks, or 5 minutes in between 45 minute classes. Passing time is a great time to check in with a teacher about your schoolwork, turn paperwork in to the Career Center, or buy something from the student store.
Sometimes, 9th graders take classes with students who are in grades 10, 11, 12. Why is this?
Sometimes, an upperclassmen has transferred from another school district and needs to make up a required Core Credit (IE: Biology). More often, an elective class is open to all grades so anyone can register for it (IE: Art I). Students of all grade levels have the same expectations to pass the class.
