What is a High School Transcript?
A High School Transcript is a permanent and legal record, showing which classes you took in high school and what grades you earned in those classes.
A final transcript is used to show that you have met the graduation requirements set by Washington State and by the Cashmere School District.
Transcripts are also used to show employers and colleges or trade schools that you have taken a variety of classes and have taken classes that are challenging to you.
Students with a 3.0 gpa should provide a copy of their transcript to get a good driver discount on their driver's insurance!
When are final grades assigned to a class and put on the transcript?
For classes that are one-term long - your final grade will be assigned at the end of the term.
For classes that are one-semester long - the final grade will be assigned at the end of the semester. This is a cumulative grade composed of both terms. For example, a class that is for 1st Semester only : your grade starts at the beginning of Sem 1 and continues through both Term 1 and Term 2 (doesn't "start over" at Term 2). The final grade consists of everything you earned in that class during Sem 1. .
For classes that are year-long - you will recieve a final Semester 1 grade. The gradebook starts over at the beginning of Semester 2, and you will receive a separate grade for Semester 2.
