High School Credits

What are high school credits?

High school credits are earned by YOU. The way to earn credit in your high school classes is to pass the class with a letter grade of A, B, C, or D.  Earning an F in a class means you have not earned credit in that class.

By earning credits, you demonstrate that you have met the high school graduation requirements set by Washington State and by the Cashmere School District.

Credits are also used to show employers and colleges or trade schools that you have taken a variety of classes and have taken classes that are challenging to you.

What are the different types of High School Credit?

Different classes give you the opportunity to earn different kinds of credit.

The type of credit earned reflects the content of the class and reflects your graduation requirements.

Here are some examples of kinds of credit you will be earning at Cashmere High School:

Examples of this include:

College In the High School - selected classes at Cashmere High School provide credit through University of Washington, Central Washington University, Eastern Washington University, or Wenatchee Valley College

Advanced Placement (AP) Classes - classes at Cashmere High School that provide an optional test at the end of the course, and which provide college credit to be used at the university of your choice.
