Why Arts?

I have chosen to apply for Graduation with distinction in the arts because I feel that I have met and gone beyond the requirements for both graduation and even this distinction. I have been constantly involved in concert band since fourth grade and was a lead member of marching band for the entirety if its existence. I additionally joined Jazz Band after my freshman year and learned to play drum set over zoom. Over my high school career I will have taken 14 semesters of band as a part of seven full year sources. I additionally took Introduction to HTML, CSS and Javascript"(which I forgot to highlight) which counts as an additional arts credit. This 8 courses and 15 credits far exceed the requirements for this distinction. I have been additionally involved in the Arts by auditioning, getting accepted, then performing at District and All State festivals every year that they were available to me. I have additionally performed various things at coffee houses including my infamous swimming demonstration. For all these reasons and more, I believe that I am a perfect fit for the Arts Graduation with Distinction.
