GPA CALCULATOR
Grade Point Average (GPA) is used to determine college entrance, eligibility for sports and certain school activities, honor roll, and many other instances. Your GPA is an important reflection of your academic work in high school and is reported on your high school transcript. The Overall GPA on the transcript includes every class that earned a grade in high school.

CALCULATING YOUR GPA (weighted):
Washington High School's standard GPA is unweighted. When students submit their transcripts as part of their college applications, the universities will calculate the weighted GPA.

UC and CSU recognize the following courses to receive extra weight in the GPA:
All AP courses
English 11 Honors
Chemistry Honors
Accelerated Algebra 2/Trig/Pre-Calculus
Up to a limit of 8 semester courses in sophomore and junior years, a maximum of 4 which can come from the sophomore year (if more than 8 semesters have been completed, select those semesters with the highest grades to include in the weighted GPA)
