Each haptic arm has three cables:
Charging cable
Charging extension cable
USB cable.
Step 1: Connect the charging cable with the extension cable. Plug the charging cable into the back of the haptic arm.
Step 2: Plug the USB cable connector into the haptic arm and then the laptop.
Step 3: Assemble the haptic pens. Look for the matching key/lock style connection.

Calibrate your haptic arms in the Fundamental Surgery Hub. You will be asked to set up your haptic arms before you start the application.
Take out the right pen from the inkwell.
Press a button on the right pen.
Insert the right pen back into the inkwell.
Repeat the steps for the left pen.
To properly lift the device grasp the base of the unit on both sides and lift as shown in the image. DO NOT lift by grasping the pen or arm. The pen is detachable by design. Lifting the unit by the pen or arm could result in severe damage to the device.
Grasp the end of the pen and lift UP, to disengage, and then OUT as shown below in the image on the left. Do NOT attempt to pull the pen straight out as shown on the right.
Keep the pen in the inkwell when not in use.
The pen is detachable by design. Reassemble it by aligning the blade on the shaft with the slot in the pen and inserting it till it snaps in place as shown in the image.
Unplug the power cable from the back of the arms.
Unplug the USB cable from the back of the arms.
Plug the power back in.
Then plug the USB cable back in.
Click try again to rescan the arms.
If the above does not work, try rebooting the system. If this doesn't solve the problem contact us via our support ticket form.
Check that the haptic arms are not obstructed or tangled.
Inspect for any loose or damaged cables.
