How are Andalusian films?

Andalusian films are awesome because they show the best of Andalusia, its culture, traditions, people, good climate, etc. They have fun characters and exciting situations. These movies make you feel as if you were living an adventure in the southern Spain. They are films that make you smile and transport you to a world full of fun and excitement!

A THRILLING JOURNEY IN SEVILLE

Firstly, we have ´Adiós´. A thrilling movie directed by Paco Cabezas. It tells the story of Juan, a doctor who is between two groups organized crime and corrupt police in Seville. Juan, played by Mario Casas, has difficulties to protect his family and survive in this intense thriller. As well, Natalia de Molina, Juan's wife, gets involved in his troubles. 

A GOLDEN ADVENTURE

Next, let's talk about ´Taxi to Gibraltar´. León, played by Dani Rovira, is a taxi driver who is very angry with the world. Diego, played by Joaquin Furriel, a charming Argentine who has just got out of prison. Together, they started a journey to find a hidden treasure in Gibraltar. Along the way, they meet Sandra, played by Ingrid Garcia. 

LOVE KNOWS NO BOUNDARIES

Thirdly, 'Allí Abajo,' Iñaki, a Basque man, finds himself stuck in Seville. He never expects to have a connection. But then he meets Carmen, a kind, selfless and supportive Andalusian nurse. Their love story is pretty sweet. If he had not gone to Seville, he would have never met Carmen. 

A SUPER HERO

Since his arrival on Earth from the planet Chitón, Juan, López's life has not been easy. With superpowers it is difficult not to pick the attention of others. Being able to fly, read the mind, have supervision or stop a subway convoy... And then he returns to the office trying to be a normal guy, has not been easy for him. Or maybe yes, because Juan does not need more than his morning croissant to be happy. However, something is going to change... 

THEY ARE SEVEN

´7 Virgins´ is a Spanish film directed by Alberto Rodríguez. The plot is about Tano´s life, a 16-year-old boy who is just going to live a sentence in a juvenile detention centre. Before going there, he spends his last night of freedom with his friend Richi, with whom he had lived some adventures through the streets of Seville. During that night, Tano faces up to his fears, fights with his past and reflects on his future.

ANTONIO BANDERAS´ BIOGRAPHY

Antonio Banderas was born on August 10th, 1960 in Malaga, Spain. He is an actor and director of the Spanish cinema. A serious foot injury at the age of 14 ended up with his hopes. The following year, he had an interest in acting. In 1981 he managed to perform for five year at the National Theatre of Spain in Madrid. There he met the film director Pedro Almodóvar, who began to offer him roles. In his first film with Almodóvar, Labyrinth of Passions in 1982, Banderas received very good reviews. He was able to express his talent. 

HISTORY

Truly, the vision of Andalusia that has been projected from the rest of the country has not been positive for many years. But, nowadays this vision has changed and Andalusian cinema is humorous and comedy. People use this type of film to spend time with family or friends.
