The local art of Ankara is like a colorful tapestry woven with tradition and creativity. The city's galleries include CerModern and Ankara State Art and Sculpture Museum exhibiting diverse works by local and as well international artists. Meanwhile, local craftsmen from ancient neighborhoods such as Hamamönü and Beypazarı make styles of landmark pottery, copperwork or traditional fabrics that are passed down over centuries and remembered only by word-of mouth.
