CIEE is the leader in the international education industry with 70 years of experience as a non-profit cultural exchange company. CIEE offers high school students academically focused fully immersive programs that are designed to increase language proficiency in 7 target languages (with the option to receive 4 college credits through Tulane University), as well as service programs that result in a certificate of 45 hours international community service or specific topic based programs called Global Discovery where students develop a portfolio of their fieldwork.

CBYX offers merit-based scholarships for an academic year in Germany.
The FREE program was established in 1983 to celebrate German-American friendship based on common values of democracy. Students live with host families, attend local schools, and participate in community life in Germany. The Kennedy-Lugar Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Abroad Program offers merit-based scholarships to spend an academic year in countries that may include Bosnia & Herzegovina, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Macedonia, Malaysia, Morocco, Philippines, Senegal, Thailand, and Turkey. This program increases understanding between people in the United States and people in countries with significant Muslim populations. Students live with host families, attend local high schools, do community service, and complete a capstone project.

Sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, NSLI-Y offers merit-based scholarships to study one of seven critical foreign languages: Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Korean, Persian (Tajiki), Russian, and Turkish. The NSLI-Y program is designed to immerse participants in the cultural life of the host country, provide formal and informal language practice, and spark a lifetime interest in foreign languages and cultures.

We provide extraordinary opportunities for youth to design and lead projects in collaboration with US and Latin American peers and partner organizations across the Americas. Our strong partner network, built over 50 years, enables authentic engagements in communities across the region.
The AMIGOS Silicon Valley Chapter recruits, trains, and supports AMIGOS participants and their families from the South Bay of the San Francisco Bay Area. Our chapter accepts participants August 11 through November 1 of the fall prior to each summer experience. During the months of October through May, Silicon Valley Chapter participants will take part in local training and fundraising events as they prepare for their AMIGOS experience.
