Every year, through our Student Leaders program we help connect 225 community-minded high school juniors and seniors to employment, skills development and service. They’re awarded paid summer internships with local nonprofits such as Boys and Girls Clubs of America and participate in a national leadership summit in Washington, D.C. The Student Leaders Summit focuses on skill building and creating a more civically engaged society. Very selective.

The Berkeley Business Academy for Youth introduces youth from around the world to the disciplines and skills that make business work. B-BAY students learn from professors who are at the top of their field and from youth mentors. Class projects and presentations give students hands-on experience in a safe learning environment-all on the vibrant UC Berkeley campus.

All over the world, youth are advocating for change both locally and globally. Through the Brown Leadership Institute, you’ll increase your understanding of complex social issues and your ability to advance social justice, no matter your current level of engagement.

Founded in San Francisco in 1998 by the Helen Diller Family Foundation, the Diller Teen Fellows program has become the premier leadership development initiative for Jewish teens in the 11th grade (apply for the fellowship as a current 10th grader).

Over the course of each two-week cohort, our youth leaders visit five deserving nonprofits with diverse mission statements and deliver immediate impact through unique and engaging volunteer projects. Alongside these projects, participants are led through the innovative HandsOn Tomorrow curriculum where they reflect on the issues facing their communities and develop the leadership skills necessary to effectively support local nonprofits and causes.

The Northern California Leadership Seminar is a leadership development program which brings together students from across the region. The seminar is a motivational program that includes critical thinking, mentoring, panel discussions, goal-setting, and project planning activities. Students learn individual leadership styles, group dynamics, and leadership in society–all with a focus on Leadership for Service to their communities. Students are challenged to make a difference now in their schools and communities, and challenged to perform 100 hours of service within the 12 months following their seminar, beginning with four hours of service during the seminar itself.

The Iacocca Global Entrepreneurship Intensive brings American high school sophomores and juniors (ages 16-17) together with International high school students from all regions of the world for four weeks to live and learn together at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.
Students learn about entrepreneurship, globalization, team building, project management, leadership and working within a culturally diverse environment.

At SLE, you will explore West Point from all angles, including our high-tech educational facilities, team-building athletic activities, and realistic military training.
