The information provided below is for those who have already had an abstract accepted by assigned supervisors.
All presenters (i.e. first authors) must submit the abstract for the virtual conference through the Turnitin in Moodle. The deadline for Abstract Submission is 1 April 2021, 23:59. (Two weeks before the student conference)
Include all relevant aspects of the project within the word limitation (150-250 words)
Using subtitles including Purposes, Methodology, Results, & Conclusion
References should not be included in abstract
Provide 3 - 6 keywords
The HPE Virtual Student Conference 2020-21 is a virtual congress (i.e. Zoom) that is made available to students through their EdUHK account. Below is a breakdown of each presentation format and further details can be found beneath:
Oral Presentation for BEd(PE)
Zoom Live Presentation (Individual) with Discussion Period arranged by Facilitator
10 minutes per presentation
20 minutes for group discussion
Oral Presentation for BScEd(SS)
Zoom Live Presentation (Group) with Discussion Period arranged by Facilitator
20 minutes per presentation
20 minutes for group discussion
Oral presentation will be presented in a live stream format during the conference using the Zoom platform. We have a technical team in place to provide support before and during the event.
On the day, your session will be opened by our assigned academic staff.
Each session will have a ‘Waiting Room’ which will open 15 minutes before the session begins.
A representative from our technical team will contact you to organise a test session and help with any queries you may have.
