Our Golden Welly Play Champions this half term!
This half term, our Golden Welly superstars have shone bright at playtime—working together, cheering each other on, and showing brilliant teamwork and cooperation. You’ve shown the very best of yourselves and made our playground a happier place. Well done, champions! 🥇👢
At Foxhill, we are proud of our OPAL playtimes and the wonderful opportunities they give children to be active, creative and imaginative. Through OPAL, children learn to take safe risks, solve problems, work as a team and build friendships across school. Whether they are building, digging, creating, exploring or simply enjoying being outside, play helps children develop confidence, resilience and independence. We loved seeing so many parents join us for our OPAL Stay and Play Day, and we hope you could see first-hand the enjoyment, excitement and benefits that OPAL brings to our children every day. Thank you for your continued support in helping us make playtimes exciting, purposeful and full of learning.
Forest School this half term!
Despite the wet and windy weather this half term, our Forest School sessions have continued to be full of adventure, creativity and discovery! Today, the children enjoyed climbing and playing on the swings, relaxing in hammocks and challenging each other in a game of Stick Ninja. We also learnt about dandelions and their important role in nature, including how they support pollinators and wildlife. Inspired by this, the children crafted their own dandelions using wool and sticks, before making music with dandelion horns. To end our session peacefully, we enjoyed the calming sounds of the Hapi drum while reflecting on World Bee Day and the importance of caring for our natural environment.
