Information/Support
To start the day, the children gathered together for an Assembly on the responsible use of AI. Mrs Dean spoke about voice assistants / smart speakers and some of the things they could do. The children decided whether each use of the technology was 'OK' or 'Not OK' , drawing on whether it would be appropriate to behave in that way in life without technology.
Each class followed their own program of learning for E-Safety in class with topics appropriate to their age, including: not sharing personal details, the meaning of age rating, questioning accuracy and truth, SPAM and phishing, respectful communication, balance with technology and seeking help. Year 5 and 6 also had a visit from the PCSO to give them an insight into appropriate online behaviour, safety and the law.

Keeping Our Children Safe
To further strengthen safeguarding across school, we are installing additional CCTV coverage in the woodland areas and inside The Hub. This is part of our continual review of safety procedures to ensure all communal areas remain safe and well supervised.
Footage is securely stored and managed in accordance with data protection legislation and is used only where necessary to support safeguarding and wellbeing.
