VCMS clubs

TOME Society

Our VCMS Tome Society Jr. Chapter enjoyed attending TOMECON. We were able to meet with authors like Margaret Peterson Haddix, Roland Smith, Gary Schmidt, and many more! Students enjoyed spending the day talking about great books. Charanjit K. in 8th grade won 1st place for the Yearbook Superlative page he created for a TOME competition.

Debate

The Vipers Debate Team completed their final debate tournament this month. Student enjoyed 4 rounds of debating. Our Novice, JV and Varsity Teams all took home medals for winning their debate competition. Congratulations! It was a fun filled year with great growth and accomplishments!

Drama

VCMS Drama Club performed their spring play "Bringing Down the House". The audience enjoyed the hilarious plot and characters of this "musical without songs". For many experienced 8th grade actors, this was their last play at the middle school, and saying goodbye was bittersweet.

VCMS athletics

Viper Track and Field, and Viper Golf are in the final weeks of their seasons!

Viper T&F will participate in 2 meets in April; 4/9 @ Lambert HS, and 4/17 @ West HS.

Viper Golf will host a match on April 11th @ Polo, and will conclude their season on April 17th @ Polo as well!

It has been a fun week in the media center. We are enjoying all the new games and manipulatives purchased for our space. Building the tallest, most precarious structure never gets old - and the ruckus it makes when it falls defies the traditional definition of library silence. It's all fun and games here!

Teacher Appreciation Week

March 17th-21st we got to celebrate all our amazing Teachers and Staff that make VCMS such an incredible school. Thank you to PTO which includes all the families that joined this year to make the week a memorable one! We got to spoil them daily with treats, snacks and drinks, Dunkin’ Donuts, a catered lunch from Moe’s, ice cream from the local Ice Cream Social shop, and Travelin’ Tom’s Coffee! In addition we gave away over $500 in gift cards to Amazon, Target and Starbucks 🎉. They all deserved it and felt the love so thank you again to all who made it possible and who joined and supported the PTO!
