Florida Virtual High School utilizes a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) framework which includes the Response to Intervention (RTI) and an active Problem-Solving process. Our school is committed to providing high quality instruction and interventions aligned to individual student needs using evidence-based practices.
We do this, in part, through screening assessments (such as iReady) to identify students that may need additional support. Additionally, multiple tiers of supports consisting of increasing levels of intensity provide additional support when indicated by data points. You can read more about MTSS at Florida Virtual School in this brochure.
Testing will be in September and you will receive more information about specific dates. Here are the groups who will complete this testing:
All 9th and 10th grade students in Algebra or Geometry should complete the iReady Math assessment. FAST ELA PM assessments will be used instead of the iReady reading test.
11th and 12th grade students who have not yet met graduation testing requirements for Math and/or Reading.
11th and 12th grade students ONLY complete the test(s) associated with the subject(s) for which they still need a passing score.
Please be on the lookout for communication and instructions to complete iReady when requested in September.
