Announcements for Fall 2026/27:
Homeroom announcement pages have a NEW look for the 2026-2027 school year. Each month a video will be posted highlighting important news and events. Please be sure to visit this page often!
9th and 10th grade students in Algebra or Geometry and 11th and 12th grade students who have not yet met graduation requirements for testing in math and/or reading will participate in iReady testing in September (you will receive more information with specific dates). All 9th and 10th grade students in Algebra or Geometry will complete the Math iReady assessment. FAST ELA PM assessments will be used instead of the iReady reading. Please be on the lookout for communication and instructions to complete iReady when requested in September.
Safety is a top priority. Please view this short Fortify Florida video for information about reporting suspicious activity. Remember that the link to this video and the Fortify Florida website can be found on every class announcement page (left side near the bottom)
Make sure you are staying informed about school-wide events and announcements! The Week At A Glance newsletter link is to the right of all class announcement pages as well as linked on the Focus homepage. Events are found on the Focus Calendar and CLICK HERE for information about the Focus Community App so that you can see events and social media on mobile devices!
Club Rush is Thursday, September 10, 2026. The link will be on the Focus Calendar as well as posted on announcement pages. Join us for an introduction to all of the clubs available (both specific to FVHS, and open to all of FLVS). Applications will open after Club Rush. Clubs are a great way to get involved!
