Auto Calibration
If the touch or pen functions are slightly off when you are interacting with the board, 99% of the time, you can perform an AUTO CALIBRATION which will realign pens or touch function to mark where the pen or finger has touched. Should the Auto Calibration not resolve the accuracy of the pen/touch, a Manual Calibration or a Touch Unit Reinstallation may be required.
To Auto Calibrate, ensure there is nothing but the touch unit on the whiteboard. Then, navigate to the projector's menu by pressing Menu on the remote.
Then in the Frequently Used or Pen/Touch section on the Menu, select Auto Calibration.
Move away from the screen, then continue to run the Auto Calibration. Projector will return to the Menu screen when Auto Calibration is done.
Safety Note: The auto calibration can include fast blinking lights. If you are aware of a student in your classroom with light sensitivity or risk of seizures, please refrain from Auto Calibrating while the student is present.
Manual Calibration
The majority of times, the Auto Calibration will do the trick. If the cursor location and pen position do not match after auto calibration, you can calibrate manually. Please follow these steps:
Press the Menu button, select the Pen/Touch menu, and press Enter.
Select Manual Calibration and press Enter.
This screen appears, adjust the focus if necessary.
Press enter on the remote to select Yes.
A green circle appears in the upper left corner of your projected image.
Touch the center of the circle with the tip of the pen. The circle disappears, and you'll see another circle below the first one. Continue to press each green dot on the screen until Manual Calibration is complete.
Note: For the most accurate calibration, press the center of each green circle.
Note: Make sure you are not blocking the signal between the pen and the interactive receiver (next to the projector lens).
Touch the center of the next circle, and then repeat. When you get to the bottom of one column, the next circle appears at the top of the new column.
Note: If you make a mistake, press the ESC button on the remote to go back to the previous circle. To cancel the calibration process, press and hold the ESC button for 2 seconds.
Touch Unit Reinstallation
Should none of the above solutions resolve the accuracy of the pen/touch interaction on the projector, submit a Help Desk ticket requesting your building technician to come by and perform a Touch Unit Installation.
Manual Adjust Pen Area
Problem: Pens and touch are accurate in the middle of the whiteboard, however they are increasingly inaccurate the further you get from the center of the whiteboard.
Solution: Manually Adjust the Pen Area. Open the Menu, then navigate to "PC Interactivity", then select "Manual Adj. Pen Area". This will adjust the pen and touch operation area manually for more precise adjustment.
Once initiated, the computers curser will move automatically across the screen. Once the curser stops, tap the curser with the interactive pen. The projector will repeat this step 1-2 times. Once complete, the pen and finger touch will be calibrated.
