HDMI 1 and 2 will be located at the teaching station in the front of the classroom near the teaching desk.
HDMI 3 will be located at the back of the classroom to allow for a secondary teaching location should the teacher prefer to have their teaching station at the back of the classroom.
Connect the HDMI Cable from the Wall to the Docking Station or Hub
Plug one side of the HDMI cable into the HDMI 1 port on the wall plate.
Leave the HDMI 2 port available for use with additional resources such as a document camera or casting device.
Plug the other half of the same HDMI cable into the Docking Station (J5 Create) OR Hub (Anker) on the desk.
Connecting a Staff MacBook Air
Connect the J5 Docking Station OR the Anker Hub to an available USB-C port on the MacBook Air.
Connecting a Staff Windows Laptop
Connect the J5 Docking Station OR the Anker Hub to an available USB-C port on the Windows Laptop.
Connecting a Staff Chromebook
Connect the J5 Docking Station OR the Anker Hub to an available USB-C port on the Chromebook.
J5 Docking Station
Power In: Insert the computer charger into the Power In port. This will provide power to the J5 Docking Station, attached peripherals and the computer.
Ethernet Port: Insert an active ethernet cable to the ethernet port. Using an ethernet connection provides a more stable internet connection. TIP: If the Wireless Internet is not working, having an ethernet cable in the J5 Docking station provides a back up connection to continue being able to access the internet.
USB C 3.0: USB port. This is NOT a power in port. This USB-C port is meant to connect other USB-C peripherals.
4-6. USB ports: These are standard USB ports. The classroom printer, Ipevo document camera or easy interactive projector USB may be plugged in here.
7. HDMI: This HDMI port should contain the HDMI Cable that goes between the wall plate and the J5 Docking Station. Please note: Staff Chromebooks will not communicate to the projector if the HDMI cable going to the wall plate is not plugged into this HDMI port on the J5 Docking Station.
8. HDMI: This is another HDMI port to be used when connecting to an external monitor.
9. AUX port: Most classrooms will not need to use this AUX port as the sound has been routed through the projector or Lightspeed Classroom Amplification System.
10. USB-C Connection to Computer: Plug in this USB-C cable to the computer you are using.
At the front of each classroom, near the projector and whiteboard, there will be a connection wall plate that includes the following ports:

HDMI 2: Connect the Computer -or- Document Camera -or- Casting Device
USB: Connect the USB cable to the computer to enable Easy Interactive Compatibility between the Projector and Computer.
AUX: Connect an additional audio output device if needed.
