Joana Sequeira

Lab2PT-University of Minho

She is an Assistant Researcher in History at the Lab2PT - Landscape, Heritage, and Territory Laboratory of the University of Minho (Braga, Portugal). She hold a PhD in History from the University of Porto (Portugal) and the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (France), awarded in 2012, with a dissertation focused on textile production in Portugal during the Late Middle Ages. Her research centers on the social and economic history of the 13th to 16th centuries, with particular emphasis on textile and dress production and consumption, material culture, mercantile networks and Mediterranean trade, craft activities and their regulations, as well as mercantile and urban accounting practices.
