Maria da Graça da Silveira Filipe is a Museologist. Graduated in History, post-graduated in Social Museology and Master in Museology and Heritage. Since 2007, she is a lecturer at the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa (NOVA FCSH) - Masters in Museology, in Cultural Practices for Municipalities and in Heritage (disciplines: Museological Planning and Programming; Inventory and Conservation of Collections, Heritage and Museums, and History, Methodology and Theory of Heritage in Portugal). She was coordinator (1990-1995) and director (1995-2009) of the Seixal Municipal Ecomuseum, being responsible for its museological programming and projects for incorporation, research, preservation and heritage documentation, exhibition communication, publications and dissemination, and museum and heritage education. Between 2011-2014 and since 2016, at the Municipality of Seixal, her work focused on the study and management of technical and industrial heritage and on the musealization project of the Vale de Milhaços Gunpowder Factory.
