Options:
1. Have students cut out strips from Insurance Timeline above. Guess what order they go in. Be prepared to present or share your findings and then reflect on how you could change the order.
2. Have students act this out! (steps in order- in pairs, taking turns on playing the two different roles in a fender bender).
3. Have students work in pairs and complete a Google form electronically to decide the order. If turning in electronically ensure you have specific reasons for the order.
4. Have students work individually and then find a partner and compare the list that each person put together. Discuss as a class after comparisons have been made between students.
Parking Lot Car Research Assignment

Includes several components to car buying.
You can have students work in pairs if you desire.
Students do not have to do the presentation as provided in the example. If they want to choose another way to create a portfolio that is fine as long as they have all the information.
Estimated 4 days of work time for project (not including extension activities).
Include extension activities intertwined with project work time
Extension activities provided on the right
Be sure to include check points for students to hold accountable (documentation journal)
Student document examples within presentation (make copies of documents as needed to fit your classroom)
Compare/Contrast buy/lease/new chart from slide 4
Features list from slide 7
Narrowing the Choices from slide 11
Auto Loan Finance Chart from slide 14
The use of a documentation journal will be useful to be used as check points and keep students organized.
