The Catalyst Approach is the name given to the system of nonverbal techniques that improves classroom culture and enhances student productivity. This byproduct occurs because students see themselves as a valued part of the classroom and school community. The Catalyst Approach allows teachers to reinforce consistent and safe parameters while preserving their relationships with each student, while focusing on lowering frustration, lowering confusion and disrupting inequity. The Catalyst Approach also incorporates research around neurodivergence and trauma.
