Are you working hard but not getting the grades you want? Do you need help understanding how you learn? Are you interested in improving your work habits? Are your high school work habits and study skills not cutting it in college? Have you been on a short or long-term leave, or missed a lot of classes? Are you behind on your work? Do you suspect you have a learning disability or ADHD? Meeting with the Learning Support Specialist, Amy Faust, is a good place to start.

Is the Learning Support Specialist the right support for me?

Meeting with the LSS is always a good place to start. Some students meet on-going, some students meet a few times to check in, and some students meet just once; it depends on what is right for you.

What should I expect in a meeting with the Learning Support Specialist?

A conversation about you. The LSS wants to know you as a whole person, not just a student. Meetings are conversational; you will have space to talk about your goals, strengths and weaknesses, and anything else that might be important in understanding who you are as a learner. You can expect to leave with some strategies, next steps, and a connection to resources that will help you reach the success you are looking for.
