Device: DanioVision
Objective: DanioVision is a complete system designed for high-throughput tracking of zebrafish larvae and other small organisms (Fig. A, B).
It provides information on typical and epileptic behaviors, circadian rhythms, motor control, movement disorders, neurodevelopment, and more. DanioVision is commonly used in drug development, behavioral genetics, toxicology, and circadian rhythm studies. In our lab, we use it to measure sleep in zebrafish larvae. The larvae are placed in a 48-well plate and positioned in the DanioVision system (Fig. C).
They are tracked under a 14:10 h light cycle (lights on at 9:00, lights off at 23:00). The exported tracking data is analyzed using RStudio.
