This week’s specials look like:
Monday: A- drama

Wednesday: C- movement and gym **short day, dismissal at 2:00!**
Thursday: A- drama
Friday: B- music
It would be a good idea to have an extra pair of socks at school for gym days, especially during the warmer months as kids tend to wear sandals, crocs, etc… Gym shoes can be left in their locker, if they have an extra pair of shoes specifically for gym.
ELA-
This week we'll continue to write our journal entries from a first person perspective.
PBL-
This week we will look at the daily life and different roles of people in the colonies.
With our essential question being, “How can we work together for a common purpose?”, we are going to come up with some project ideas for making E’tude a better place.
MATH-
4th grade students will be looking at division strategies. We will have a multiplication and division checkpoint. After that, we will look at multiplicative comparisons. Strategies include x3, x4, x6, x7, x8, x9. Ask your student to show you the strategies we have talked about for solving these types of problems.
5th grade math updates can be seen on Mr. Scharenbroch's website.
If the real feel temperature is below 60 degrees students must wear a coat or jacket outdoors.
We have library on Monday! Students are only able to check out a new book if they returned their other one. Books should be returned by Friday so they can be checked back in
BREAKFAST:
Each morning your child will have the opportunity to take a FREE breakfast from the school district. We will be bringing ALL students into the building at 8:05. At this point the students will be able to eat breakfast, as well as work on any home learning that they would like to (should they need my help). Breakfast will be done BY 8:15 and any remaining food students will be able to save for their snack.
SNACK:
Students may bring in snacks from home to eat at snack time (10:05) each day. Snacks may not be shared with others. It must be a healthy snack such as crackers, yogurt, string cheese, fruit, etc…
WATER BOTTLES:
Water bottles are HIGHLY recommended to bring each day. Please have your student bring their water bottle home to wash frequently (a minimum of once a week). At E’tude we recognize the science behind drinking water and how it enhances brain function and alertness throughout the day. We do have a bottle filling fountain at school to fill bottles with nice, cold water.
