This week we will be beginning to look at other strategies for division including:

• expanded notation method

• long division

We will also look at strategies for multiplying multi-digit numbers including:

• standard algorithm 

5th grade:

PBL:

This week and next week we will finish up looking at the Industrial Revolution, and then learn about The Civil War. 

Reading:

Students should continue to read their weekly pages and fill out their reading notebooks. 

Writing:

Students have chosen their characters, setting, and a loose idea of the story plot. 

This week we will start to add specific details to their "choose your own adventure" stories.
